Ktima Gerovassiliou Chardonnay is a single-varietaldry white wine with a rich, "oaked" profile and exceptional aging potential. It originates from the Epanomi region in Thessaloniki (PGI Epanomi).
Appearance: A bright and intense golden-yellow hue.
Aromas: An intense nose featuring notes of honey, vanilla, ripe citrus and tropical fruits, set against a subtle backdrop of smoke and nuts.
Palate:Full-bodied, rich and mellow on the palate, with balanced acidity and a long-lasting finish.
Vinification: Following pre-fermentation cold soak, the wine is fermented in French oak barrels. It remains in contact with its lees for several months, thereby gaining body and enriching its varietal aromas.
Aging Potential: This wine can be aged for up to 10 years, evolving its character over time.
It pairs excellently with fatty fish (such as salmon or grouper), smoked fish, seafood with white sauces, poultry, and caviar dishes. It is best enjoyed at 10–12 °C.
