Ktima Gerovassiliou Evangelo is a premium multi-varietaldry red wine, crafted from a blend of Syrah (approx. 92%) and the white variety Viognier (approx. 8%). It is a signature creation of Vangelis Gerovassiliou, distinguished by its co-fermentation method and refined character.
Appeareance: Deep red with purple highlights.
Aromas: A complex bouquet of ripe black fruits (blackberries, cherries), violet and spices like cinnamon and clove.
Palate:Rich and full-bodied with silky tannins, balanced acidity and a long finish featuring notes of pepper and oak.
Vinification & Aging:Co-fermentation of both varieties takes place in stainless steel tanks. This joint extraction provides the wine with stable color, a smooth taste and a rich aromatic profile. Following malolactic fermentation in the same tanks, the wine matures in French oak barrels for 12 to 18 months.
Aging Potential: It possesses an excellent structure that allows it to evolve in the bottle for 20–25 years.
It pairs harmoniously with feathered game, poultry in wine sauces, slow-roasted goat and grilled red meats. It is best served at 16–18°C.
