Ktima Gerovassiliou Sauvignon Blanc is a single-varietal dry white wine, renowned for its tropical character and the finesse imparted by barrel aging. It originates from the Epanomi region in Thessaloniki (PGI Epanomi).
Appearance: Bright lemon with golden highlights.
Aromas: An intense bouquet of summer and exotic fruits (melon, pear, mango, pineapple) with a background of toasted vanilla and aromatic herbs.
Palate:Complex and well-structured on the palate, featuring vibrant acidity and a richness derived from contact with the wood.
Vinification: Following pre-fermentation cold soak, it is fermented at approximately 20°C in French oak barrels, where it remains for several months in contact with its lees.
Aging Potential: This wine can evolve in the bottle for 6 to 7 years.
It harmoniously accompanies shellfish, fatty fish, sole meunière (fried in aromatic butter), poultry or pork in white sauces and smoked cheeses. Ideally served at 10–12°C.
