Ktima Gerovassiliou Red is a multi-varietaldry red wine, produced from a blend of the French varieties Syrah and Merlot, combined with the ancient Greek variety Limnio, in the region of Epanomi, Thessaloniki (PGI Epanomi).
Appearance: Bright deep purple hue.
Aromas: A complex bouquet of ripe black fruits (plum, cherry, berry) with spicy notes like black pepper.
Palate: On the palate, the elegant tannins are supported by an abundance of fruitty aromas, giving it bold character and balance. It features a long-lasting finish with a spicy persistence.
Vinification & Aging: Produced through classic red vinification and aged for approximately 12 months in French oak barrels.
Aging Potential: This wine has great aging potential and can evolve in the bottle for 10 to 15 years, gaining greater complexity and softer tannins.
It harmoniously accompanies pork,grilled red meats, roasted poultry, game with red sauces and mature cheeses. It is best served at 16-18°C.
