The Papaioannou Estate Pinot Noir is a single-variety dry red wine made from 100% Pinot Noir, by grapes harvested from organic vineyards in Nemea.
- Appearance: Bright, clear ruby with medium intensity.
- Aromas: Dominated by red fruits such as cherry, strawberry and raspberry, with underlying notes of cedar, vanilla and subtle smoke from aging.
- Palate: Features a medium body, juicy texture, balanced acidity and velvety tannins.
- Vinification: Follows the classic red vinification method. It matures for 6–8 months in oak barrels and rests for an additional year in the bottle before release.
- Aging Potential: Can evolve beautifully for 5 to 8 years from its vintage.
It pairs excellently with poultry & game (duck with fruit sauce), fatty fish (grilled salmon or tuna), mushrooms (risotto, pasta or tarts), meats with light sauces (pork tenderloin, veal or mild stews), and medium-aged cheeses (Brie, Camembert, Graviera). Best served at 14–16°C.
