The Alpha Estate Rose (Single Vineyard "Hedgehog") is a premium rose dry wine made from 100% Xinomavro grapes in the Amyntaio region (PDO Amyntaio).
- Appearance: A bright, crystalline rose-petal pink color with soft saffron hues.
- Nose: Intense and complex with dominant aromas of rose, strawberry, and cherry, followed by hints of sweet spices.
- Palate: Full-bodied and opulent. It strikes a perfect balance between crisp acidity and a long, aromatic finish.
- Vinification: Short skin contact and cold maceration in a controlled environment. Aged on its fine lees (sur lies) for 2 months with regular stirring (batonnage) to enhance its texture and complexity.
It pairs beautifully with a wide range of Greek and international dishes. Such dishes include "gemista" (stuffed vegetables), "ladera" (vegetables cooked in olive oil), roasted Florina peppers, as well as pizza and pasta with light red sauces. Its ideal serving temperature is 12-14°C.
