Malagouzia from Antonopoulos Vineyards is a monovarietal dry white wine made from 100% Malagouzia, originating from Achaia (PGI Achaia).
- Appearance: Bright greenish-yellow.
- Aromas: Dominated by white-fleshed fruits (peach, apple, pear), exotic notes (mango, lime) and expressive white flowers like jasmine and honeysuckle. Sweet hints of honey emerge in the background, gaining intensity over time.
- Palate: Medium-bodied, perfectly balanced and aromatic. It features a crisp acidity that gives it freshness and nerve, leading to a pleasant, fruity finish.
- Vinification: Follows classic white vinification at controlled temperatures without any barrel aging, in order to fully preserve the primary, fresh character of the variety.
Due to its aromatic complexity and balanced structure, it pairs flawlessly with grilled fish, charcoal-grilled shrimps, steamed mussels with wine and dill, ceviche, stuffed peppers with rice and herbs, chicken souvlaki with herbs and coconut chicken curry. Finally, it shines beautifully alongside a platter of fresh, mild white cheeses such as anthotyros, goat cheese, mozzarella and katiki of Domokos. Best served at a temperature of 8-10°C.
