Papaioannou Estate Chardonnay is a single-variety, organicdry white wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes (PGI Corinthia).
Appearance: Bright lemon-green.
Aromas: Dominant fruit notes of peach, pear and apple, complemented by hints of citrus and white blossoms.
Palate:Medium-bodied with the characteristic creaminess of the Chardonnay variety, but without the "heavy" butter feel of oak aging. It features crisp acidity, a clean finish and a long-lasting fruity aftertaste.
Vinification:Classic white vinification in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperatures to preserve the primary aromas of the fruit.
It pairs exceptionally with seafood (grilled shrimp, steamed mussels or fried calamari), pasta (dishes with white sauces), poultry (roasted chicken with lemon potatoes) and cheese (soft cheeses like mozzarella, fresh whey cheese or light kasseri). Best served at 10–12°C.
