Ktima Gerovassiliou Syrah is a single-varietaldry red wine, produced from 100% Syrah grapes in the region of Epanomi, Thessaloniki (PGI Epanomi).
Appearance: Dense black-red color with violet hues.
Aromas: A complex nose dominated by aromas of ripe plum, berry and red pepper.
Palate: A robust wine with a full body, intense tannins and a long-lasting finish.
Vinification & Aging: The maceration process and alcoholic fermentation last approximately 20 days, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels in the estate's underground cellars.
Aging Potential: Ideal for cellar aging, as it can evolve for 20–25 years.
It pairs perfectly with game,lamb with vegetables, red meat fillets and hard cheeses. It is best served at 16–18 °C and it is highly recommended to decant the wine for 30 minutes before serving, allowing its complex aromas to fully unfold.
