Rarus K is a monovarietal dry white wine produced with minimal interventions (PGI Peloponnese). It is made from 100% Kydonitsa grapes grown in high-density vineyards, a practice that forces the vines to compete, resulting in lower yields and a richer aromatic profile.
Appearance: Bright lemon-yellow with greenish highlights.
Aromas: Intense and characteristic aroma of quince (from which the variety takes its name), followed by sweet citrus fruits, green apple, pear, and strong mineral notes.
Palate:Full-bodied with refreshing acidity and a long, pleasant aftertaste.
Vinification: The grapes undergo cold processing followed by a brief pre-fermentation cold maceration and a minimal intervention fermentation. The final product undergoes only light filtration to fully preserve the variety's authentic character.
It ideally accompanies fish and seafood, white meats, soft cheeses and grilled vegetables. It is best served at 9-12°C.
