Theopetra Estate Red is a multi-varietal organic dry red wine produced from Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Limniona (PGI Meteora).
Appearance: Deep violet or purple with violet highlights.
Aromas: It features rich aromas of black and red fruits (cherry, blackberry, plum), with spicy notes of black pepper, clove, coffee and chocolate.
Palate:Full-bodied and round, with velvety tannins, balanced acidity and a long spicy finish.
Vinification: Produced using standard organic vinification starting with the harvest in late August, followed by controlled alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel and oak vats. The wine gains its complex character through aging for 12 months in French and American oak barrels, followed by at least 12 months in the bottle before release, ensuring velvety tannins and rich tertiary aromas.
Aging Potential: It has a significant aging potential ranging from 5 to 10 years from the vintage year. Its structure allows it to evolve positively in the bottle, developing notes of coffee, leather and sweet spices. For aged bottles, decanting for 30-60 minutes is recommended to allow the wine to fully "open."
It is an excellent accompaniment to red meats (grilled or stewed in red sauces), game, charcuterie platters and fatty yellow cheeses. Ideally served at 16–18°C.
