Ktima Gerovassiliou Malagouzia is a significant single-varietaldry white wine. It holds great historical importance, as Vangelis Gerovassiliou was the winemaker who rescued this variety from extinction through his dedicated efforts. It originates from the Epanomi region in Thessaloniki (PGI Epanomi).
Appearance: A bright straw color with greenish highlights.
Aromas: An intense nose featuring notes of ripe fruits, such as pear, mango, and citrus.
Palate:Rich and full-bodied on the palate with lemon aromas that provide a well-balanced finish.
Vinification: Following skin contact at low temperatures (pre-fermentation cold soak), vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at 18°C, while a portion is vinified in French oak barrels. The wine remains on its lees for several months, gaining structure and body.
It harmoniously accompanies seafood, poultry, pasta with light sauces and fresh vegetable salads. It is an excellent match for Mediterranean and Asian cuisine. Ideally served at 8–10°C.
